My team was responsible for building a mobile app aimed at making it easier for the community to connect. The app also tracks events, shares relevant news, and gives users quick access to AEB's services and information.

Here’s what I took charge of and what we achieved along the way:

• Managing the Whole Project. I coordinated the efforts of developers, designers, AEB representatives, and IT infrastructure experts to ensure everything moved smoothly from start to finish.

• Choosing the Right Tech. We decided on React Native for developing a cross-platform mobile app compatible with both iOS and Android. besides, I built a dedicated backend API hosted on AWS, focusing on making the app reliable and able to grow as needed.

• Breaking Down Tasks. I dove deep into understanding AEB's processes, created detailed technical specs, and split big features into smaller user stories for the team. I also kept everything transparent by tracking progress closely in our task management system.

• Negotiation. Every week, I checked in with AEB’s team to gather feedback, clarify any questions, and adjust priorities to make sure we were always aligned.

• Connecting with Corporate Systems. I integrated internal calendars and authentication systems so that members could easily sign in and access the app’s features without any hassle.

• Testing and Releasing. I developed a comprehensive testing plan, coordinated bug fixes, and managed the app's launch on both the App Store and Google Play. All along, I made sure we adhered to strict data privacy and security standards.

• Handling Documentation. I kept detailed records of the project, wrote clear instructions for integration, and helped prepare user guides for both AEB staff and members.

Technologies and Tools Used

We built the frontend with React Native, Redux, and TypeScript; the backend was a custom API using Node.js. Infrastructure work was on AWS. We used GitHub Actions for CI/CD, Jira and Confluence for project management, and Zoom, Slack, and Email for daily communication.

In the end, we delivered a user-friendly, secure app that’s been a real boost for AEB members and partners. It helps them stay up-to-date with news, sign up for events, access membership perks like special offers, and get quick support from the AEB team.
